Our Story
We are a small, family-run business united by a shared passion for preserving the artistry of genuine Japanese craftsmanship.
Beyond mass production, we celebrate the beauty of ethically made creations while advocating for sustainable practices and supporting local communities.
The Values
At the heart of Tsukushi is a profound respect for tradition, authenticity, and quality.
We are dedicated to celebrating exceptional craftsmanship, supporting local artisans, and preserving Japan's rich cultural heritage.
Guided by ethical practices and a commitment to sustainability, we strive to empower communities and share timeless creations that connect you with the stories and artistry behind every piece.
The Mission
Let's face it, in today's fast-paced world, authenticity can be hard to find.
Mass production prioritizes speed over quality, and impersonal dropshipping practices leave us questioning the origin, genuineness and ethics behind a product.
Think about it for a moment. In an environment like this, it actually becomes quite easy to lose sight of what ‘Authentic’ and ‘Original’ mean, doesn’t it?
Do you agree? If yes, then you’re one of us!
The Start
We were baffled by the lack of genuine, handcrafted Japanese tableware and kitchenware online as everything seemed mass-produced and impersonal….everything looked just the same!
So, we decided to take matters into our own hands and try to find a way of connecting Japanese crafts lovers around the world with the heart of Japanese artisanship and small production.
Giving Back to the Community
Every piece in our catalog is a testament to dedication and skill, crafted with care and built to last.
When you shop Tsukushi, you're not just getting a beautiful piece of Japan, you're supporting the skilled artisans and small businesses who pour their hearts into every creation. You're becoming part of a story, one that values quality, community, and the enduring spirit of Japanese craftsmanship.
