The same effect is known in Western ceramics as craquelé, or ceramic crazing. On this bowl, the crazing spreads across a deep teal and jade green ground, covering the entire surface.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach firing produces a different fracture pattern.
